The Committee on Psychological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences


The Committee on Psychological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences serves as a body representing scientists from different universities, including scientists of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The members are elected by the research community in the field of psychology. 

Committee members

The Committee issues opinions on new legal regulations meant to affect science, its applications, and education. It also works to promote broader awareness of research findings and supports the development of the field of psychology science.
Activity of the Committee on Psychological Sciences includes regular plenary sessions, co-organization of annual scientific conference “Kolokwia Psychologiczne”, and coordination of work of commissions.

Aiming at promoting research of young and mature scholars, the Committee provides recommendations for awards:

- The annual Andrzej Malewski Award promoting the international research achievements of young researchers,
- The Władysław Witwicki Award for the best publication.

Providing arena for research publication, the Committee supports publication of the Polish Psychological Bulletin.
